andyg, thank you for that explanation. 
A bit of experimenting showed that if a user wants SBS to use
unnecessarily large amounts of memory then do NOT set the Advanced /
Performance / DB Mem Config to high, rather use an SQLite admin tool
and set the cache size to somewhere near the DB size. Then for
virtually no apparent gui performance gain, SBS will use far more
memory.  I got my server to use 359,688K just by browsing albums and
artists and doing a scan for new and changed music (which really is
fast now).
