Continuing 'this thread' (http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81837) in a hopefully more appropriate forum: I just uninstalled 7.5.2 and installed 7.6.0 - r31297 @ Thu Sep 9 02:07:40 PDT 2010. The scanner crashed. I then did these modifications to the settings:
Turned automatic rescan at 05:00 off. Set memory config: High. Was asked about restarting SBS. Answered yes. Disabeled library statistics. Disabeled Automatically detect changes. Clicked Apply. Was not asked about restarting SBS. Restarted it manually. In the non-web SBS control panel: Empty buffer, run cleanup. Restarted SBS. SBS started looking for new/changed music all by itself. After a while it failed again. Just to make a quick test I set the music folder to the folder of one album, and ran a scan. It succeeded! But one album isn't enough to satisfy my musical cravings, so I set the music folder to the root F:\FLAC folder. A new scan started automatically. This time it succeeded too! Now for the final test: Setting the music folder to my "D:\SBS Musikkmappe" which contains a shortcut to F:\FLAC. SBS automatically started looking for new/changed music. And there's the problem. It seems this version of SBS doesn't like shortcuts. +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ |Filename: scanlog.txt | |Download: http://forums.slimdevices.com/attachment.php?attachmentid=10589| +-------------------------------------------------------------------+ -- Soulkeeper -that is not dead which can eternal lie. and with strange aeons even death may die.- duet + boom + radio (+touch on the way) / wrt160n/dd-wrt / sbs 7.5.1 or higher/win7/avira free ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Soulkeeper's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=35297 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=81884 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
