There are 2 scanners - there is the standalone scanner (scanner.exe)
that is fired-up for a Clear & Full Rescan... and there is the in-line
scanner that runs as part of SqueezeSVR.exe. The in-line scanner is
called for a new & changed scan... and also when SBS starts up. It is
possible under certain circumstances for both scanners to run
simultaneously which can cause a crash through locking conflicts
against the database.

Scanner.exe writes to scanner.log. The in-line scanner writes to
server.log.

My point 6 may be wrong - after the restart of SBS, look in the
settings - information screen to see if a scan is running. If it is,
abort it (click on abort scan) and perform a full rescan.
