I don't think 7.6 is so much unstable as it is untested. I don't know where Logitech QA went, but they're no longer anywhere to be found in either these forums or bugzilla. I don't expect to see 7.6 released in the next four months, and only if developers and QA return to focus on the project. If they don't, I doubt we'll see a 7.6 at all. My biggest problems with 7.6 are the usability issues introduced by 'onebrowser', mostly in the web interface. Other than a scanning problem that turned out to be OS related, scanning hasn't been a big issue for me. I think most of the problems have been with autorescan, which is now completely disabled on Windows and disabled by default on the other platforms.
