I got a pretty large database (~ 240.000 files / mp3) too but I'm only doing small changes every day (adding 2 or 3 albums, re-tagging 2 or 3 albums, re-naming 2 or 3 albums/folders), so I can see very clearly what changes are made to the db and I can confirm:
Scanner in 7.6 is MUCH quicker than it was up to 7.5.5 BUT it is still as buggy as when I tested it for the first time, I think one year ago. And I can't see any progress or announcement by Logitech and someone else. I think it's nearly fatal for they won't sell this (good!) hardware with this (buggy!) software ... Especially, for there are a few bugs NEW or COMING BACK in 7.6 and things that worked fine in 7.5 are compeletely broken now.
