I think it is that most Linux distro have moved to newer Perl versions recently in their betas and now some main releases. These updates have left many updating Linux users with a broken SBS. The updated Perl modules from Logitech seem to not work for most users. A broken chunk of the 40% SBS userbase on Linux I think warrants some more attention. As more and more distros release stables with the updated Perl the bigger and bigger this problem will get. Most the distros seem to track ActiveState for Perl. http://www.activestate.com/activeperl/downloads ActiveState recently release 5.12.3 followed not to long after with 5.12.4 I think most would just be happy if SBS was quicker to update compiled modules against the current ActiveState Perl version. -- bits ------------------------------------------------------------------------ bits's Profile: http://forums.slimdevices.com/member.php?userid=13375 View this thread: http://forums.slimdevices.com/showthread.php?t=87780 _______________________________________________ beta mailing list [email protected] http://lists.slimdevices.com/mailman/listinfo/beta
