I have been using 7.6 for a while now, and since the scanning issues that Erland referred to have been fixed, I'm very happy with it. As 7.6 uses SQLite and 'one browser', some of the plugins have been affected. Of the plugins I use, only LazySearch still needs some updating. Spicefly SugarCube has been greatly enhanced to take advantage of SQLite, TrackStat was updated recently and Server Power Control has a swag of enhancements (although I don't think Server Power Control was affected by either SQLite or one browser). I recall that some of the more knowledgeable have recommended clearing cache before installing from a MySQL version. Also, there is an option to use more memory in your server, (Settings/ Advanced/ Performance ...) which decreases the scanning time.
