Just to be sure, did you look at mem usage of whole computer or just
SBS process ?

It's natural that SBS process in 7.6 uses more memory since SQLite is
running inside the SBS process, are you saying the SBS process in 7.6
also uses more memory than SBS 7.5 process plus MySQL process combined
?
