ok, and again i think i follow you and that sounds correct... (i am assuming that the albums.contributor table is where AA tags get written to, and / or where SBS writes a value of "Various Artists" if it detects a comp, and / or where it writes the artist tag values if all tracks share the same artist value, yes?)
but thats also the rub! how does it determine which of the two to use in our problematic example? in other words, where would i find the album, and the obvious question is why one place/artist and not the other one?
