Yeah. The thing which confuses me most is trying to work out where all these different settings apply. Once I'd got the "New Music" display back the way I wanted it (i.e. showArtist), I rather assumed that the playlist display would change as well. And yet when I change the Title Format in settings, to get the playlist display looking better, it changes the formatting in the player frame as well, making it look horrible.
I too think the large/small/no artwork settings widget should be there at the bottom of the playlist display. Either that or as Jim suggests keep the settings separate for browser and player frames, remove the artwork size widget, put "artwork display type in browser" into the prefs and obey it throughout the browser frame. It feels a bit strange to be discussing this when there are people out there who can't get their scans to complete, and Logitech are employing a Cat to tell them to go back to 7.5.
