I believe it's on by default and I think currently currently the only
way to disable it is to disable the UPnP plugin.

I've tried it with PlugPlayer on OSX and iPad, I've only tried it with
music so far as LMS scanner crashes on my Linux server if I enable
Pictures or Videos.
