There are two possibilties 1. The file is strange 2. There is something still affecting your SBS MP4 setting.
To test (1) - I suggest downloading and trying to play the XLR8 Magda podcast that referenced in this post http://forums.slimdevices.com/showpost.php?p=651773&postcount=5 . I tested it on a clean SBS 7.6.2 nightly build and it played OK on a SB3. If it doesn't play on your system - then I suggest shutdown and restart PC as I don't trust Windows caches.
