No, not thousands, 1900 tracks. The part you might have missed is that this has worked without a problem for *years* then I made the mistake of upgrading past 7.5.x and now it's all busted (both my iTunes integration, and even without that, my alarm function).
If I set it to use "current playlist" as the alarm, and have that same playlist running, it works fine.
