If I recall correctly, playlist length has been limited by default to a maximum of 500 tracks since 7.6.0. However, if you look at 'Settings/Advanced/Performance' there is a configurable field 'Maximum Playlist Length' which can be adjusted to taste. I haven't tried it so don't know if it works but you could give it a go.
