I don't know if this provides a clue as to what is going on here, but
the BD-D5700, when successfully playing "filename.m4v", as served up by
minidlna, will label the file "filename.mp4" when the player is paused
and the client displays the filename. So:

minidlna: "filename.m4v" ==> BD-D5700: "filename.mp4" == successful
playback.

LMS: "filename.m4v" ==> BD-D5700: "filename.m4v.mp4" != successful
playback.

So...who knows what's going on here? Is this just a spurious side
issue of labeling? I don't know enough about DLNA to really guess.
But LMS DLNA jpg display and m4v playback seems to be broken with at
least one Samsung DLNA client.

I'll test video playback next with MLPlayer Lite on my iPad.
