Logitech Media Server Version: 7.7.0 - r33539
Installed the latest LMS and kicked the tires on the DLNA features.
No pictures or videos can be rendered via my Samsung BD-D5700 Blu-ray
player. It seems like LMS may be tacking on an extra filename
extension to any picture or video file when it attempts to open the
file for streaming.
In other words, on the TV (via the blu-ray player), I'll click on a
picture thumbnail (which displays just fine) for "filename.jpg" and
then the player will display a "Not supported file format" error
message referencing "filename.jpg.jpg".
Something similar happens with the video files too. If I browse into a
folder containing M4V files (all DRM-free handbrake rips), the file
thumbnails display just fine. But an attempt to play a file (e.g.
"filename.m4v") again results in that "Not supported file format"
message, this time referencing "filename.m4v.mp4.
I should add that all this content is displayable/playable on the
BD-D5700 from the same server when I'm running minidlna.
This doesn't appear the be the fault of libmediascan. Looking at the
videos table in library.db, all the "url" fields in the records appear
to show the correct paths to the files...i.e. that extra file extension
isn't tacked on there.
So it looks like LMS may be tacking on the extension to the path at
render time.
