And I thought it stood for Dissociated Vertical Deviation, an ocular
condition which occurs in association with a squint, where the
innervation of this eye movement occurs involuntarily and independently
of the other eye.  Sort of the way I feel when I find myself caught up
in forum discussions that have no point. (Too many these days....)
