Does these kind of things matter now ? When it was a supported product intended for massmarket ( or what logitech thought it was ) there was some hesitation to include even more options and settings .
7.8 is supposed to be the community branch. Feel free to come up with a patch :-).
But then one other big issue is, as JJZolx came to realise quickly, performance. The plugin would require quite some work to make this happen in an efficient way. One big problem with today's solution is that it only checks the first genre of a track. But checking them all takes a massive performance hit, as it requires a lot more DB requests.
