One thing I notice from the log is that the updateStandaloneArtwork routine appears to run twice in some new & changed scans. Maybe in instances where no new artwork is precached? Here are the log entries of two separate new & changed scans. The first scan had no new albums added (I probably ran it to correct a tagging typo), while the second scan added one album.
That's from server.log, not scanner.log, right? Eg. your scanner does run internally (you don't have any additional importers installed)? And the scan was triggered manually? Do you have multiple music folders?
