I have now cleared the cache and carried out a complete cleanup of L.M.S., which included a full rescan of the music files. I still cannot get the web remote control or advanced settings buttons to work and I have no access to apps that are installed on L.M.S.. I have not changed any settings on the server and I have not added or altered any of the apps installed with L.M.S. The only thing left for me to try is to go back to an earlier version of L.M.S. for W.H.S. and try that install to see if the button work.
