Why would you want to bloat the downloads by another few dozens of MBs? Either you want the firmware, then install it now. Or you don't care. Then you don't need it. Again: I'd rather remove the ip3k firmware images from the install images. Hardly anyone is still installing Classic/Boom/Receiver/Transporter which don't come with the latest firmware yet. And in those cases the server can download the firmware on demand already...
