you can't turn them off but nowadays base functionality of LMS ?
Why not just bundle them in somewhere else in the software and remove

Because it might break other code. A change for change's sake. Eg. the favorites "plugin" is referred to in many places internally. And I wouldn't be surprised if some plugins did so as well.

Agreed. And it would be cleaner code, too. But probably not worth the hassle.

We could hide them from the plugins list, though. There's little need to list them when you can't do anything about them anyway.
