I don't think you quite understood what I meant.

You can change settings/My Music to include/exclude band/orchestra, composer
and conductor roles appearing in Browse Artists.

But i wondered if this this included ALL composers or only consider composers
if they appear on all tracks on an album (in the same way that track artists
can be excluded to reduce the content in the list).

I just tried it with Band/Orchestra contributor roles. I have a Classical
music Compilation album. On one of the songs, I have tagged Band="Mexico City
Philharmonic Orchestra". I have ticked the option to include Bands in Artist
list.

That band doesn't show up in the list of artists, presumably because I have
"Group compilation albums together" and it only includes contributors to an
album, not contributors only associated to songs.

So the question is if there was a "Browse Band/Orchestra" list, should it list
ALL or only Bands contributing to a whole album? If we are having two Artists
lists (Artists and ALL artists), should there be Bands and ALL Bands.

I suggest the following:

Browse (album) Artists - only artists (and optionally bands, composers,
conductors) that have association with albums. Exactly what we have now.
Browse ALL >
        Artists >
        Bands/Orchestras >
        Composers >
        Conductors >
