Hm... wouldn't it make sense to get better screens instead? I mean... a 50x50 px thumbnail of a 2000x2000 image will never look good, whatever you do. And if you use a 300x300 thumbnail (say, no idea why I think of that metric :D ) it doesn't really matter that much....
