No, I think this feature currently even is limited to the SB Touch 7.8 firmware. There's a bug somewhere about this being inconsistent between SB Touch, Radio and Controller.
Thanks for all the proof-reading! If you had a github account, I think you could comment on the files directly. Or submit a pull request. That would ease the integration of the changes. I sometimes had to read your version and mine three times before I spotted the difference...
