did you know that cursor pivot/etc works from camera view as well? that is, you can snap a cursor to the object you want to pivot around, press . and r r and orbit around it to a new angle. shift to make the orbiting smoother. I do use the ctrl alt 0 to bring my camera to a view port if I find a nice angle that way- then you can use the guides to fine tune your composition. Oh, I never use the fly mode either, but I'm sure some people do. > > On 10 May 2011 05:14, Campbell Barton <[email protected]> wrote: > > On Tue, May 10, 2011 at 12:58 AM, Bassam Kurdali > > <[email protected]> wrote: > >> > >> > >> On Tue, 2011-05-10 at 00:28 +0000, Campbell Barton wrote: > >>> Agree they are unrelated (except the case where Camera images could be > >>> made to force foreground and overlay some reference). > >> Not completely but it *is* close: images will suffer due to scaling > >> (especially if you don't intend on making a new one for each aspect > >> ratio) while procedural guides can be drawn at one pixel width > >> regardless of the resolution/aspect ratio- and now you'll have an added > >> dependency for your files.
