Hi Kent, >That means you don't have the locale installed on your machine. >You'll need to do something like this: >http://dev.ektron.com/kb_ <http://dev.ektron.com/kb_article.aspx?id=5982> article.aspx?id=5982 <http://dev.ektron.com/kb_article.aspx?id=5982>
Thanks for the link. But from windows it ask me to pick a language "to use when displaying test in programs that do not support Unicode." (and requires restarting windows). Why do we need that? As far as I know blf is doing all the hard work of handling unicode. Maybe we only need to tell Windows that Blender supports unicode? Indeed awhile back I had Blender patched to use a unicode font (droidsans) as the default and could have UI files in Japanese with no problems. (and BGE can handle this as well). -- Dalai 2011/8/29 Kent Mein <[email protected]> > In reply to Dalai Felinto ([email protected]): > > > From: Dalai Felinto <[email protected]> > > Date: Mon, 29 Aug 2011 09:49:59 -0700 > > To: bf-blender developers <[email protected]> > > Subject: Re: [Bf-committers] [Soc-2011-dev] Final Report - Garlic Branch > > Reply-To: bf-blender developers <[email protected]> > > > > Hi, > > > > after Nathan's commit things do get copied. > > However I still have the same problem after I change a language: > > e.g. "could not change language to zh_TW nor zh_TF.UTF-8" > > > > So I don't get the crash he is describing, but it may happen after this? > > > > Thanks, > > Dalai > > Hi Dalai, > > That means you don't have the locale installed on your machine. > You'll need to do something like this: > http://dev.ektron.com/kb_article.aspx?id=5982 > > > http://wiki.blender.org/index.php/User:Xiaoxiangquan/GoogleSummerOfCode/2011/Internationalization/notes_for_users > has a little bit of documentation on this but doesn't explain how to fix it > in > detail. :) (It really is platform dependant though so hard to explain > simply) > > Kent > > _______________________________________________ > Bf-committers mailing list > [email protected] > http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers > _______________________________________________ Bf-committers mailing list [email protected] http://lists.blender.org/mailman/listinfo/bf-committers
