A Math Trade is a giant trade in which multile trades happen. In a normal trade, you and I would exchange games. In a Math Trade, I would send a game to you, you would send one to John, John sends one to Bob, and Bob sends me the game I wanted. So its a way of getting lots of games into new homes while giving people only what they ask for. There's nothing to lose by entering a Math Trade. You only trade your game if you get something you specifically choose. I could go into more depth, but just wait until BGG is back up and go to the Trade Forum. There's a great post stickied which tells you everything you need to know.
