I regret buying almost every card game I buy. Hmmm... last few were
"Three-Dragon Ante". Ooh. cool D&D theme! Or dumb, shallow game. Or,
"King's Blood". Interesting for a few plays. The guy at the store
recommended it. I don't think he ever played it, but someone else did
and liked it...

They almost always turn out to be more shallow than they are worth.

For the one's that don't turn out to be shallow, I either:
1) Feel bad for spending $30+ for a pack of cards
2) Can't find other people that love card games enough to play them
with me.

I enjoy RFTG OK enough, but I don't think it was worth the price I
paid for the amount of times I have gotten it to the table. I will NOT
buy the expansion at the listed price.

I actually enjoy MTG the most, but I can't find people to play with
either in person that are near my age and who aren't competitive with
it. Oh well! Hopefully my son will play it with me!

>From now on, I'm on a stricly "try before buy" method with card games.
Actually, I should do that for ALL games.

I guess I've learned I like more traditional board games more. That's
just my preference.
