Of your "do not haves" Dominion is probably the best option. Wallenstein is OOP but has been rethemed and issued as Shogun. I think it is better with 3 or more and can handle up to 5.
Modern Art is a good suggestions but as an auction game is also better with 3 to 5. Other light, 2-4 player suggestions would be: Stone Age, Ysphan, and Vikings. Another would be Race for the Galaxy which, simply put, is the space version of the card game version of Puerto Rico. Chicago Express is a train game for 2-6 and plays pretty fast.
