I can see the limited replayability factor, but as has been said, it plays in 20 minutes so it's so quick you may not see it. The issue it will have is one of perception. It's in a big box and costs a lot. So people see it as a main game, when it really should have been put in one of those small fantasy flight boxes at a cheaper cost. Than people would see it as a filler, which it is.
If you're looking for a good, quick filler, I think Dominion is a great choice. You want something more meaty and complex, go with Race for the Galaxy. They definately are two different games that fit two different criteria. I also have hope that we will see further expansions for Dominion that will increase both the replayability and interaction. And while we're on the subject, another somewhat overlooked non-CCG is Knizia's Blue Moon series. They are sold as preassembled decks (which is how I play it with my son), but they DO have the option (and rules) for creating your own decks. There's lots of interaction and strategy in the series.
