I think Kevin was kind of talking to himself there, in the sense that he was
reminding himself that debt was bad and explaining why he spends $25 per
month--so that he doesn't go into debt. He also qualified it by saying that
according to Ramsey, debt is bad, not "according to Ramsey, you are all
idiots because you go into debt to buy games you rarely play."

I spent $572 at my local favorite game store last year. I spent
approximately $200 on shipping, thrifting, and other game-related
purchases. I earned about $800 through selling books, or other games, etc.

I don't really think I got $800 of fun out of my game purchases. I just
didn't play all that much, due to work, schedule conflicts, general
busy-ness, and not having much of a gaming family. I probably meet with my
group every other month, and play something at home twice a month. I'm
seriously going to cut back on my game purchases, and meta-game purchases,
and put the money into something else.
