And that's not even getting into the whole question of whether an "abstract" is allowed to have luck or hidden information (i.e. Ingenious, Quirkle). Trying to choose categories for everything is inevitably going to lead to disputes. And not interesting, thought provoking disputes, but the most banal, pointless, semantic kinds of disputes that inevitably lead to hurt feelings and Hitler-calling.
What would be kind of cool (though I admit: a lot of work), would be to come up with a bunch of categories (without assigning games to them), and allow people to categorize games (preferably into multiple categories at once), and express this as a rating or percentage, so now you could run a search for (say) games with a rating of at least 6.5 and that are rated 75%+ "Euro".
