We got several games this holiday season. We still haven't had a chance to play them all. Unfortunately, it was because our FLGS was closing and blowing out a lot of stock.
Our favorite of our new games this year (so far) is TTR. It's a great low-energy "I've had a long day at work and you want me to play a game against your fresh mind?" type game. Settlers of Cataan has filled this to some measure for us in the past, but even that's a stretch at times. TTR is going to get played a lot around here, I suspect, because it's so easy to get into and play while only worrying about immediate objectives. We also got the Growing Hunger expansion for Last Night on Earth. It looks like it adds lots of good material to a good game. There are some imbalances in the game, which some scenarios address and others don't, so the game itself isn't perfect without houseruling some things. Also, the rules are not written at all clearly--close parsing and looking for rules in odd places is necessary. But once that's done, its a fun game that does a great job of playing out zombie story tropes. Not yet played are Warcraft (boardgame), Munchkin Quest (rules are very poorly written compared to the card game), and the Demented Dungeons expansion for the Munchkin card game. -Mark On Jan 3, 2:26 pm, gameaholic <[email protected]> wrote: > While we're waiting, if you got a new game recently that you love, > please post and tell us about it. > > I got Navegador for Xmas and I love it.
