As long as Xcode 3 keeps "working" on 10.8, it should be no problem.  As far as 
I know, BibDesk has no Lion-only features, and should be fine on 10.5.8.

Apple used to make that easy, but they're making it harder at a disturbing 
rate.  If the guys doing release/nightly builds (Goldstein and me, 
respectively) install 10.8 and Xcode 3 breaks, either a) BibDesk will have to 
build using Xcode 4, dropping support for PowerPC, 10.5, and possibly 10.6 or 
b) someone else will have to do the builds.
