The "field name" is "bdsk-file-1" etc. and BibDesk would create those for you 
(think of Local-Url-1, Local-Url-2, etc.).  The file name (value of the field), 
would be set by autofile, as I have said.  I believe that quote was in response 
to a specific question about Local-Url, but it's midnight here and I can't be 
bothered to check :).
