Hmmm...Let me rephrase this: it works this way for different icons.   
Perhaps I was momentarily confused :-} by the fact that dragging an  
icon currently duplicates it.  There's no way to tell whether the  
behavior I describe actually occurs (at least, without stepping  
through code :-}).
