I don¹t know how to use AppleScript.

I don¹t understand what you mean by ³there is no bulk editing, apart from
AppleScript.² The search-and-replace functions in BibDesk still seem to work
as before.

I feel that I am not understanding your point.

If I download a group of citations that contain ³stable URLs², as JSTOR
calls them, I have to convert these to the proxy versions in order to
download the PDFs. I cannot access the PDFs via the ³stable URLs². It is
easy to change the ³stable URLs² en masse via search-and-replace as long as
the stable URL is in the URL field. Then I need to go to the proxy URL to
download the PDF. So I guess I have to individually drag all the revised
URLs to the right pane to make them active.

You seem to think there is an easier way to do this, but I don¹t understand
what you are saying.

Thanks,
Ingrid
