I'm talking about the linked files/URLs in the side pane. THere is no built-in bulk editing like Database Find and Replace for those. Only AppleScript.
I feel that I am not understanding your point.If I download a group of citations that contain “stable URLs”, as JSTOR calls them, I have to convert these to the proxy versions in order to download the PDFs. I cannot access the PDFs via the “stable URLs”. It is easy to change the “stable URLs” en masse via search- and-replace as long as the stable URL is in the URL field. Then I need to go to the proxy URL to download the PDF. So I guess I have to individually drag all the revised URLs to the right pane to make them active.You seem to think there is an easier way to do this, but I don’t understand what you are saying.Thanks, Ingrid
When you have the final URLs, you can simply drag and drop them to the side pane. When you have them in fields, you can also convert them to linked URLs in the side pane using the "Convert File and URL Fields" feature from the Database menu. That can also work on selected item.
