I have been using a single document to manage all of my references  
(1100 and counting, with some 800 orphaned files that I need to get  
around to adding), mostly because I haven't seen obvious advantages  
to using separate documents & I'd be concerned about synchronization  
if I got into a situation where I had the same pub. in two different  
bibliographies.  I haven't really explored using external file groups  
with local files.

I'm curious - do others use a single bibliography? a separate biblio  
for each writing project / topic? some combination of the two?
