In addition, after correcting an error, saving, reopening the error window,
and double-clicking on the warning item, the "Edit Source" window that
appears displays the original un-fixed text; i.e., it displays the double
quotes rather than the paired single quotes that I have just inserted. So it
seems that somehow the error-checking is not actually looking at the current
saved version of the file.
