Glad that worked.  I don't see anything obviously wrong with the code, so it 
would help to know what button you press to dismiss the alert that you see 
after entering "apacite" in the preferences dialog.  And if you don't see an 
alert, that might be the problem; make sure to tab out of that field after 
entering the new value.
