Thanks for the prompt reply.

On my system (OS 10.6, with latest BibDesk installed) the file could
not be opened and I got the following warning message:

The document “nature00791 .ris” could not be opened.
 This text file does not contain a recognized data type.

 Are you indicating that I should open the file using, for example,
text editor and then copy and paste? As a side note, other .ris file I
downloaded from other journals work fine. Only the ones from Nature
cause me troubles.
