Hi,

I'm using Bibdesk on Mac OS X 10.5.8. Processor 2.2 GHz Intel Core 2
Duo. Memory 2 GB 667 MHz DDR2 SDRAM. I have about 3000 references in
my main reference file. Whenever I try adding a new reference to the
list (by dragging it into the main reference list), it takes about 5
seconds for this to happen [slow!]. It used to be OK about a month
ago. I have several possible guesses for what the problem could be:
- I have only 15 GB left empty out of 120 GB on the hard drive [but
other applications seem to be running fine]
- the computer is getting old (it's about 3.5 years old now) [but
other applications seem to be running fine]
- 3000 references is too many [but I've seen other people having so
many references; but maybe it's a problem in combination with the
first two issues]
- something is wrong with my Bibdesk settings [I don't think I changed anything]

Any help would be appreciated!
Thanks a lot!
Alexey
