How are these other linked files added to the items? One thing you can do is add more local file fields in the default fields preferences. By default only Local-Url is recognized as such. As I said, conversion is not done automatically once it was already done, but you can always use the conversion tool in Database > Convert File and URL Fields, which converts the fields if necessary according to the settings you like. Also, you could use AppleScript. There are some example scripts linked on the Wiki. Christiaan
