When I lived and rode where there was weather (http://tinyurl.com/684yth) I had a sacrificial winter wheelset with my Hakkawhatevers permanently mounted. That way I could quickly swap in the nice wheels and lighter tires on nice days, or switch back to the studs when the flakes were flying.
