The sad thing is that "normal" involves some statistics, and "werty" is perfectly right here: Top posting seems to be the norm, since Outlook Expest is the dominant MUA of ignorant fools. Or sending around messages as PowerPoint sheets or Word documents. Due to the enormous growth rate, the Internet is still full of clueless newbies, and they teach each others bad habits (or rather not: Ignorants must come to those bad habits all by themselves, as they usually refuse any advice - that's why none of them has tried to redefine the Netiquette; though they should be able to get a majority for it ;-). At work, I get a lot of top postings, PowerPoint and Word attachments, and people complaning that my .gz files "are binary", and ask for a retransmit.
