Hello, Manuel, I think we should hold off applying the MinGW socket changes and release Bigloo4.1a without them. This will give us the necessary testing time to prove out the changes before the next Bigloo release. In addition, we may be able to simplify the implementation assuming features found in Vista and above.
If people really need 4.1a to compile on MinGw, we can provide the patches with the warning that the socket changes have not been completely vetted. Best Regards, Joseph Donaldson
