Lesson one: WhenEVER you're using a web page to enter text, ALWAYS copy it and paste it to some local app on your computer, before hitting the "Submit" or "Send" or "Mangle" or "Lose in the Bureaucracy" button. Even if it's just in an open Notepad or WordPad window, so you can paste it back _when_ the page fails. And if you do this often enough, at enough sites, eventually one _will_ fail on you.
Never trust your web browser. Never trust web designers to design pages that work with your web browser. Never trust the web itself. Never trust your connection. Trust your local applications only slightly more. [Can you maybe guess that this has happened to me before? More than once? I'm posting this via a webmail, and yes, I'm copying/pasting the whole thing before hitting "Send".] > From: "Tim Wong" <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> > > Several weeks ago, I put a general problem on the Speeder Hotline online > form and it came back as an error.
