Dang, I won't be able to call, but here are a few "talking point" thoughts:
* How can _everyone_ have "special rights"? Everyone is a pedestrian. Not everyone drives. * In fact, pedestrians do have rights. Yeah, there are laws a pedestrian must obey, but failing to obey them will not result in a revocation of one's "walking privileges" (well, short of imprisonment). Walking the streets is part of free assembly. Drivers, however, have driving _privileges_, not rights. And when they violate the laws of those priviliges, they can be revoked. * The Safe Communities Coalition? GASP! We can't have safe communities!! Next, they'll be flouridating the water (okay, perhaps not appropriate for on-air). Maybe the Crock o'Chris should form a counter-organization called the "Dangerous Communities Coalition". The membership database should be pretty easy to manage: Kroc, Sly. The phrase "elighten Mr. Kroc" is, to me, a contradiction in terms. I actually sit the fence on baiting "people" like him with more commentary. Like sharks (I know, this isn't very respectful of sharks, but...), jocks like Kroc feed on stirred waters; controversy is good for ratings. But ratings only have meaning when they translate into ad revenue. The real target here is the advertisers. If they know there's an active boycott of them as long as they advertise on his show, it might send a message they, as well as Kroc (and station management), can understand. > From: [EMAIL PROTECTED] > > Anyone else want to join me in a campaign to phone > Mr. Krok On-Air at 9 am this Friday (Nov 7) to set him > straight on the rules (not "special rights") of the > road?
